So happy because the weather is finally cooling down (somewhat) in San Diego! When I was younger I liked summer and spring styles a lot better, but as I get older I find fall fashion to be so much more interesting. When I bought this sweater I was just originally looking for a normal cardigan to wear, but when I tried it on and buttoned it up I was pleasantly surprised to find out I could wear this as a sweater dress!
Wearing this outfit throws me back to my college days, when I was notorious amongst my roommates for doing everything to avoid wearing pants, out of sheer laziness and uncomfortableness. That's definitely changed since now, but if you saw me on campus back then you could always catch me in either shorts or a dress, even when it was freezing cold or raining.
Finding the perfect sweater dress to wear with tall boots is a little tricky, you want one that is long enough to cover your bum, but short enough so it doesn't look like you're being swallowed by a giant sweater. Also, you usually want a little bit of leg to show in between your boots and sweater. This Free People cardigan was perfect on me, but it's really just a matter of trial and error for every person, depending on your height and body type. If you find yourself feeling too risqué, throw on a pair of shorts or tights under your sweater to solve the problem.
